Healthy plants on a very thin layer of soil, and quite close to the stream.

habitat notes: In a small patch of protected forest surrounded by pasture. Plant was growing in 10 - 15 cm of soil on top of a large rock base at the edge of a stream.
common at this location: No. The plants in the photo were the only ones we saw.
